   Getting your gear set up properly in the beginning can save a lot of time and headache. Properly attaching and adjusting your hardware can avoid damage to the hardware and accessories, as well as your drums. 

     Having proper throne (drum chair) height can make the playing experience much more enjoyable. A clear understanding of how the height and position of the throne affects what you are trying to achieve saves you time and potential development of bad habits.   

     Proper cymbal stand height and adjustment can benefit the player as well as extend the life of your cymbals. A big plus is also getting them in a position that serves the musical expression that you are after. 

Regardless of how much money you’ve spent on your equipment, taking proper care of it will help it last longer.

You also stand a much smaller chance of having it break down on you it if is properly maintained. A well taken care of snare drum will sound better, and actually play better.

If your on an electronic kit there are numerous things that can break or deteriorate prematurely if not set up properly or maintained properly. With parts being difficult to impossible to obtain it’s a good idea to learn how to take care of your gear.

Our goal is to get you to have the knowledge to properly set up and maintain your equipment, not to be the ones to do it for you. 

     If you’re new to drumming and feeling overwhelmed by all the possibilities and not sure what can fit you the best, lets get that fixed. 

     True, there are a lot of options, but most likely just a few that will get you where you want to be. Decisions on picking Electronic vs. Acoustic Drums can be hard enough, but armed with the right information you can bypass the frustrations and get to drumming. The drumming you wanted to do to begin with! 

     So based on the fact there are so many options, I’d recommend before we speak you  answer a couple questions. 

1. What’s my budget? 
2. What’s my application? (As in what style of music you want to play? Will you be performing live? How loud can you be? Etc.) 

     Answers to those two questions in advance can save us time and allow a quicker more direct answer.  

     Creating Hybrid drum kits can be an exciting thought, but most drummers get super bummed out when they make an attempt. So many choices on what can be done! 

Do I trigger (or what’s a trigger) my drums?  

Should I just add pads to my acoustic kit? 

What about playing to backing tracks or loops?  

What drum module is best for me?
